Project Brief
Location: Dulwich
Sector: Retail
Time: 2 Weeks
The client tasked us with refurbishing the front of their retail shop in Dulwich. The goal was to strip and repaint the shopfront, ensuring it was refreshed and in line with the client’s branding.

5 Key Steps in the Design Process
01
Site Evaluation
We started by assessing the condition of the shopfront to identify areas in need of repair. This helped us understand the scope of work and establish a timeline for completion.
02
Material Selection
After evaluating the existing materials, we selected the appropriate replacement materials, including marine plywood, to ensure the shopfront was durable and weather resistant.
03
Restoration & Repair
We stripped away the old paint and removed any damaged or rotten timber, rebuilding the shopfront where necessary. This was a crucial step to ensure the longevity and stability of the structure.
We successfully revitalised the client’s shopfront by stripping and repainting the exterior. Through effective repairs, the use of high-quality materials, and attention to weatherproofing, we ensured the front of the store was both visually appealing and structurally sound.
05
Repainting & Finishing Touches
Once the repairs and weatherproofing were complete, we applied the agreed-upon colour scheme, ensuring the shopfront looked fresh and in line with the client’s vision.
04
Weatherproofing & Protection
The new timber areas were treated with suitable primers and undercoats to ensure they were weatherproofed, providing long-lasting protection against the elements.
