The client required the refurbishment of a male washroom and adjacent kitchenette space to align with modern hygiene standards and visual consistency across their facilities. The aim was to deliver a sleek, durable finish suitable for daily high traffic use while ensuring minimal disruption within an active workplace.

5 Key Steps in the Design Process

Live Site Planning

The works were sequenced to allow continual operation of adjoining facilities. Temporary barriers and shift-based scheduling ensured quiet working hours were maintained, particularly during critical periods.

Kitchenette Strip-Out & Upgrade

Existing units and worktops were removed, and the room was prepared for a full retrofit. We installed high-gloss cabinetry, integrated Lamona appliances, a modern worktop, and a stainless-steel sink. Safety vinyl flooring and PVC wall cladding were applied to meet hygiene and durability standards.

WC Block Demolition & Prep

The washroom was fully stripped back, including urinals, cubicles, flooring, and wall panels. The layout was re-assessed to optimize spatial efficiency while enhancing privacy and accessibility.

By combining modern design with practical functionality and a smooth delivery process, we revitalised the WC facilities to better reflect the client’s standards while also providing a new kitchenette for the staff.

Final Finishes & Quality Checks

We completed the project with full redecoration, high-grip tiled flooring, new lighting, and ceiling updates. Mechanical and electrical compliance was coordinated with the client’s onsite team, followed by a detailed handover including O&M documentation.

Reinstallation of Sanitary Fixtures

New sanitaryware was installed, including wall-hung urinals and Alterna WCs. Vanesta cubicle systems and flush wall panelling created a sleek and easy-to-clean surface. Toilet paper dispensers, bins, and other fixtures were selected to match existing corporate standards.
