Climax Studios required a purpose built audio room within their new headquarters, a critical space where soundtracks and effects for their games are mixed and mastered.
The brief called for a fully acoustically treated environment designed to achieve professional sound performance while maintaining a sleek studio aesthetic, complete with Dolby Atmos speakers for immersive audio mixing.

Design Coordination
Working closely with the client, we refined the layout and materials to ensure the finishes complemented the room’s setup and delivered precise acoustic balance.

Wall Lining Installation
We supplied and installed Ecozorb PET acoustic wall panels in Light Grey, across three walls, including the rear of the door, achieving balanced sound absorption and a clean, uniform appearance.

Ceiling Treatment
The ceiling was fitted with “Shush Sky” 12mm charcoal-grey acoustic tiles, enhanced with 50mm thick polybags above the grid to minimise sound transference and control reverberation.
By combining various acoustic tiles and soundproofing, we created a state-of-art acoustic room providing precise acoustic balance. All without upsetting the clients daily routine in normal working hours.

Completion & Testing
The installation was completed within normal working hours and coordinated alongside other trades to maintain the project timeline. The result is a refined, acoustically optimised space designed for high-precision audio production.

Integration of Specialist Elements
We installed the client’s acoustic wall panels and ceiling speaker mounts for the Dolby Atmos system, ensuring all elements aligned with the acoustic design. A ply-lined wall was also prepared to support the TV and AV equipment.
