Project Brief
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Time: 6 Weeks
The client required acoustic separation between their open-plan office space and the public atrium, canteen, and waiting areas on the 1st and 2nd floors. The aim was to significantly reduce noise transfer and improve energy efficiency by containing heating and cooling within the office zones.

5 Key Steps in the Design Process
01
Site Analysis & Planning
We assessed the layout and identified chilled beam locations, which required custom bulkhead construction to accommodate the partition system head track.
02
Bulkhead Construction
Custom bulkheads were built and decorated on both floors to support the new full-height partitioning while working around existing services.
03
Precision Partitioning
We installed over 100 linear metres of 12mm full-height acoustic glass partitioning, each elevation carefully measured after track installation for a precise fit.
The result is a visually striking and functional solution that successfully separates the office spaces from the public areas—reducing noise, improving energy retention, and maintaining a sleek, open aesthetic.
05
Compliance & Finish
We applied 50mm DDA-compliant manifestation dots to all glass elevations for safety and accessibility, completing the clean, professional finish.
04
Access & Maintenance
Each elevation included a lockable pivot glass door, providing secure access for cleaning and maintenance of the external glass faces.
