As part of a full refurbishment to modernise the student toilet facilities, the project involved complete strip-out and rebuild works.
The goal was to deliver a clean, durable, and hygienic environment using robust materials, modern sanitaryware, and high-spec finishes, all executed within term time and under tight coordination to minimise disruption.

Planning & Preparation
Comprehensive site assessments were carried out to sequence the strip-out and rebuild around occupied areas. Protective measures were installed to safeguard surrounding finishes, and waste disposal routes were agreed in advance for efficient delivery.

Strip-Out Works
Existing flooring, ceilings, partitions, doors, and sanitaryware were carefully removed and responsibly disposed of via on-site skips. All plumbing and electrical connections were safely isolated and capped, preparing the area for reconstruction.

Construction & Fit-Out
New stud partitions were installed using metal framing with acoustic insulation and double-skin sound bloc plasterboards. MF ceilings with access panels were fitted, and new laminate doors with satin stainless-steel ironmongery completed the layout.
This completed refurbishment transformed the student washroom facilities, delivering a modern, hygienic, and durable environment. Completed within term time through precise planning and coordination, the result is a bright, contemporary space that enhances functionality, safety, and cleanliness while minimising disruption to school activities.

Finishes & Handover
Floors were prepared with new ply and screed, then finished in Altro Aquarius safety vinyl with full cap and cove detail for hygiene and ease of maintenance. Walls received white roc panels and diamond paint, complemented by large mirrors and silicone-sealed junctions. Final testing, cleaning, and commissioning were completed before handover.

Mechanical & Electrical Installations
New plumbing runs were installed to suit the revised layout, feeding Venesta sanitaryware including wash troughs, WCs, and urinals. Dyson Airblade hand dryers, PIR lighting, and new ventilation systems were added for efficiency, safety, and energy performance.
