BRIEF
To change the current tired, worn, and stained carpet tiles in the corridors, stairs, and selected offices to a more substantial and practical flooring that would look aesthetically pleasing and hard-wearing. Must be suited to underfloor heating.
THE SOLUTION
To promote the exceptionally high quality Milliken Freelay Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) in a simulated wood with the benefits of convenient installations and excellent comfort and acoustic characteristics. Covering nearly 1000m² of flooring with the planks to be laid ashlar / random for the optimal effect.
Suitable for the underfloor heating and together with the very heavy commercial use, the Heritage Wood range will stand the test of time for many years to come.
WHAT WE DID
With nearly 1000m² of LVT to install, we provided a Schedule of Works showing clearly, which areas were to be installed and when. This included the removal of all the old carpet tiles which were disposed of in a responsible manner, plus a full latex screed before installation.
Worked closely with the School to ensure the safety to everyone on site and arranged for deliveries and waste disposal outside of main School start and finishing times.
We sectioned off one floor at a time and worked our way down from the 2nd floor to the Ground, plus the main staircase and a number of offices.
Completed each, finishing off with clear mastic to all outer areas.
Cleared the area of waste and left each area neat and tidy on a daily basis.
Left the School with a prestigious and practical new floor throughout most common areas and essential working offices.
The completed installation gave an impression of a bigger space and cleanliness.
Upgraded one office with new furniture to complete the look.
An aesthetically pleasing and hard-wearing 1000m² LVT flooring installation.
