BRIEF
The vision was to create a magical, fun and inspiring space for the new Library based on a forest theme.
The idea would be for the children to sit on artificial grass, underneath a forest tree for story times, developing their imaginations and cementing the foundations for the love of books and endless knowledge.
THE SOLUTION
Creed-Miles suggested a more creative approach using Interface, Urban Retreat carpet tiles instead of artificial grass, on this occasion for comfort and visual effects.
We designed a forest floor, complete with pathways which became the building block for the refurbishment.
Current, enhanced DBS certificates made installation possible, during term time.
WHAT WE DID
- Removed all electrical sockets and floor boxes and prepared the sub floor.
- Cut and laid to our design, 130m² of Interface Urban Retreat carpet tiles.
- Positioned and secured the central artificial tree
Successfully installed whilst protecting the area from inquisitive young eyes for a grand opening.
